mother daughter poem

amé a mujer
envuelva la tierra en tiempo nublado
en alguna parte leí un cuento extraño, viejo, oxidado
revuelva
todos se callan a lo largo del potomac
y con el pájaro del tarareo
en la medianoche
sea paciente, vida, cuando el amor está en la puerta
paredes y enorme altos
a qué una mujer la comparará querida
trenzado y tejido
su cara es justa y lisa y fina
